DAY ET, founded in 2018, is a Copenhagen-based design brand that elevates the everyday life of people on the move and celebrates the spirit of travel. Combining timeless Scandinavian design with a playful approach and attention to detail, DAY ET creates products that blend functionality with effortless style – from bags and suitcases to travel accessories and jewellery boxes.

The Role
DAY ET is looking for a Head of Design (Maternity Cover) to join the creative team. In this role, you will lead the design process in close collaboration with our Creative Director and production team — from early concept development to production handover. You will be responsible for designing all DAY ET products and for safeguarding and strengthening the brand identity across every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop all DAY ET collections — including 5 main collections and up to 2 yearly collaborations.
• Ensure a consistently high level of design, quality, and craftsmanship.
• Translate trends into commercial bags and accessories that align with DAY ET’s brand identity.
• Maintain brand identity across all products.
• Manage the creative process from inspiration and sketching to production-ready styles.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers to explore possibilities in materials, fabrics, and finishes.
• Present and communicate inspiring material on collections and products internally.

Qualifications

• Solid background in fashion and accessories design.
• Proven expertise in working with materials, fabrics, and supplier capabilities.
• Ability to lead an inspired yet structured design process while meeting deadlines.
• Skilled in composing and presenting inspiring material on collections and products.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and 3D design/visualization tools; familiarity with Delogue PLM is a plus.
• Fluent in English (Danish is an advantage).
